The research suggests the following:
- One-to-one tutoring with teacher to focus on teaching phonics (or tutoring with well-trained aide or parent volunteer)
- Very small group tutoring
- Whole-class strategies , especially cooperative learning
- Technology is the least effective, so it 44should be used in conjunction with other strategies shown above
