This is the third (and final) in a series of videos about steps taken in schools in the United Kingdom that have shown promise in turning things around for its black boys.

Black Boys in School, Part 3  [9:53]

The Forest Hill School in South London has chosen to provide special support to the entire population of students who are black boys by working with them in separate groups one period each day.  Group discussions lead them to think about what success looks like and the process of becoming successful.  A second initiative is to teach practical learning skills, such as respect for authority, conformity, etc.   Older boys assist with this goal by acting as mentors to the younger boys.
